Taking into account the practices of other countries, China on Thursday announced the suspension of flights to and from the UK due to the discovery of new virus strain, said the Chinese Foreign Ministry. Considering the specific nature of the virus and its possible impact, in order to protect the health of Chinese and foreign personnel, China has suspended flights to and from the UK after a full assessment and taking into account the practices of other countries, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin announced during Thursday s routine press conference.

Beijing, Dec 24 (Prensa Latina) China announced the suspension of the air connection with the United Kingdom, a step taken by at least 40 countries due to the rise of Covid-19 there and the emergence of a more infectious strain of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wang Wenbin explained that the measure was taken considering the specific nature of the virus and its possible impact, and also in order to protect the health of Chinese and foreign citizens.
