Northeast China s Heilongjiang Province on Sunday saw the departure of the first China-Europe Railway Express trains that carried domestically made commercial vehicles, adding another route to China s increasingly expanding international logistics channels that facilitate exports.
The cumulative number of China-Europe freight trains via Manzhouli Port in North China s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Suifenhe Port in Northeast China s Heilongjiang Province reached 20,000 on Tuesday, a milestone for what s known as the eastern passageways that have been in operation since 2013.

After scanning health codes, checking body temperature and passing safety inspections, 425seniorhighschool students, as well as their parents and teachers, boarded Train No K5117 at Dayangshu town railway station in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Sunday morning.
The train was headed for Alihe, a town 135 kilometers away. It has been used every year since 2003 to transport students to the nearest test center for the national college entrance examination, which will begin on Monday.
The number of China-Europe freight trains traveling via Manzhouli, China s largest land port, reached 10,000 on Tuesday, according to local railway authorities.
Loaded with 61 containers carrying chairs, towels, valves, portable air conditioners and other products, a freight train left Manzhouli for Poland on Tuesday, becoming the 10,000th China-Europe freight train to cross the pass.
In the first quarter of this year, the number of China-Europe freight trains passing Manzhouli reached 951, up 60.4 percent year on year, according to Manzhouli branch of the China Railway Harbin Group Co. Ltd.
Since the first China-Europe freight train passing Manzhouli in 2013, the average monthly number of such trains has exceeded 300, the branch said.
