A Chin armed group opposing the military regime claims to have killed up to 1,000 of its soldiers in 170 clashes over the past three years. Salai Cung Ngai, spokesperson for the Chin National Organisation/Chin National Defense Force (CNO/CNDF), stated that only 48 of its soldiers have died in battles with regime forces, with 42 sustaining serious injuries during the conflict.
