Linda Kay Gloe
Linda Kay Gloe, age 73, of Troy, Mo., passed away suddenly on December 30, 2020. Kay was born on the family farm, outside of Piggott, Ark., on September 22, 1947. She was the daughter of Varland and Reba (Chapman) Dowdy.
On Nov. 5, 1988, Kay married Emery V. Gloe.
Kay was no stranger to hard work, being raised on the family farm where she would spend her summers working in the family s cotton fields. As a child, Kay s family moved to St. Louis were she attended grade school. Being surrounded by her family and her loving cousins made this time of her life so special. Later, her family moved back to Arkansas where Kay Graduated from Greenway High School, and went on to attend Arkansas State University. Kay would eventually find her way back to St. Louis County, St. Peters and finally Troy to raise her family and to continue her strong work ethic in business.
