He was a great source of wisdom and was very generous with his time. When you spoke to him he would stop what he was doing, giving you his full attention, listening patiently and without interruption. He was never judgmental and somehow always found the right words to bring comfort.
Dr. R. Michael Siatkowski, chief executive officer of the Dean McGee Eye Institute and Edward L. Gaylord professor and chair of the Department of Ophthalmology in the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, was honored recently with both the Marshall M. Parks Bronze Medal and Lifetime Achievement Award during the annual meeting of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
