Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust s latest bid for a charity Christmas number one is out now after doctors and nurses in south east London joined forces with Justin Bieber. Five years after battling him in the charts for the Christmas top spot, the global superstar has released charity single Holy with the NHS trust s choir. All profits through the single are split between NHS Charities Together (which represents over 230 NHS charities) and the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity.

In 2015, the star was beaten by the choir when their charity single, A Bridge Over You, became the UK s Christmas number one, over his hit Love Yourself.
At the time, the singer had encouraged his millions of Twitter followers to buy the NHS song in order to help it reach the top of the chart.

Superstar singer Justin Bieber has joined forces with the renowned Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir for a new Christmas recording of his hit song ‘Holy’, with the proceeds going to NHS charities.
A few weeks ago, Bieber approached the choir over email to propose a new collaborative version of ‘Holy,’ which he had a hit with Chance the Rapper earlier this year. Profit will go NHS Charities Together, which represents over 230 NHS charities, and the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity, in recognition of frontline medical workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2015, the pop superstar was beaten by the choir when their charity single, A Bridge Over You , became the UK s Christmas number one.
The Sorry hitmaker had encouraged his millions of Twitter followers at the time to buy their song in order to help it reach the top of the chart ahead of his own single Love Yourself .
And he was widely praised for his selfless gesture after tweeting: So for 1 week it s ok not to be #1. Let s do the right thing & help them win. It s Christmas. @Choir NHS good luck. (sic)
