Update 2/11/21 – Dymon Self Storage has donated a total of 2 million commercial-grade face masks to more than 200 charitable organizations, community groups and frontline workers across Ontario. Recipients included Canadian Mental Health Association, Children s Aid Society of Toronto, Compass Food Bank, GlobalMedic, The Ottawa Mission and StepStones for Youth, according to a press release.
The effort was accomplished with the help of several area politicians including Rudy Cuzzetto, a member of the provincial parliament (MPP) for Mississauga-Lakeshore; Christine Hogarth, MPP for Etobicoke-Lakeshore; Toronto City Councilor James Pasternak; and Michael Tibollo, MPP for Vaughan-Woodbridge.
The donation is believed to be the largest single private-corporate donation of personal protective equipment in the province. It reflects Dymon’s corporate commitment to philanthropy and pledge to donate 50 percent of its profits and 50 percent of the value creation of the company
