Dimapur, Sep. 8 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar, launched the ‘Enriching every child’ project initiated by Childline 1098 Peren at his office’s conference hall on September 7. Speaking at the launching programme, the DC expressed hope that the project would help in changing the lives of many marginalised children and also improve accessibility and ensure quality education for underprivileged children, a DIPR report stated. Kumar also appealed to the team to maintain transparency while managing the donations received from various groups or individuals. The centre coordinator, Ibamsile Dwaswang, said the overall aim of the project was to support children belonging to the marginalised section under Jalukie and Ahthibung blocks. The project also aimed at building connections within communities and lifts others through the simple act of kindness in the form of charitable donations in cash or kind for the children.
