Obiano, wife not infected with COVID-19 - Aide - Daily Post Nigeria

Anambra State government has denied rumours that the state’s first family, Governor Willie Obiano and his wife Ebelechukwu Obiano have been infected with COVID-19. Rumours around the state is that the wife of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Primus Odili who came from US to celebrate the Yuletide with her family infected the first family after a meeting with them. But Mr Chike Okoli, A Special Adviser to Governor Obiano and media aide to Odili said the rumours making the rounds was false as Odili’s wife is neither positive of the virus, nor the governor and his wife.

Pope Francis receives COVID-19 vaccine Published DAILY POST recalls that a personal doctor of Pope Francis, Fabrizio Soccorsi died from COVID-19 complications. The 78-year-old physician was admitted at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital before he contracted the virus and later passed away due to his health issues. The Vatican reported that the 84-year-old pope and the 93-year-old former pope got their dose of the vaccine as part of a Vatican vaccination program that began on Wednesday. Both leaders are vulnerable to contracting COVID-19 because of their age. Pope Francis is said to be more at risk because part of his lungs was removed following an illness when he was a young man in his native Argentina.
