La Crosse woman sentenced to 5 years for dealing meth

MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) A La Crosse woman was sentenced this week to five years in federal prison for dealing methamphetamine.
Sandy Xiong, 31, was sentenced Monday by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson for possessiong more than 50 grams of methamphetamine for distribution after she pled guilty Dec. 4, 2020.
Xiong was arrested Feb. 10, 2020, in a La Crosse grocery store parking lot after meeting a person there to sell them four ounces of meth. She had a total of 116 grams of meth in her vehicle and 212 grams in her home.
East Iowa Man Busted When K-9 Finds Meth in His Car Air Cleaner
An Eastern Iowa man has been arrested in Southwest Wisconsin, for hiding illegal drugs, under the hood of his car.
At about 1:30pm on January 19th, the Prairie du Chien Police K-9 unit was used to help search for drugs, when police found the car parked on the 100 block of North Marquette Road.
K-9 Rico indicated there was some type of narcotics stashed in the air filter, in the engine compartment. Officers found 118.9 grams of the substance. The crystal-like material then field tested positive for Methamphetamine.
The occupant of the vehicle, 27 year old Taylor Chessel of Springville, Iowa, was taken into custody on a charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver over 50 grams of Methamphetamine.

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. (WKBT) A woman and her dog were rescued from the Mississippi River after falling through the ice in Crawford County, according to the Prairie du Chien Police Department.
Officers responded to a call that a woman had fallen through the ice at about 1:33 p.m. Jan. 15 near the Prairie Du Chien Marina on the Mississippi River. They searched the area and found the woman and her dog with only their heads above water.
Police saw her head disappear under the water several times.
