A project in Falls that could bring 5,000 to 10,000 jobs and become the largest industrial park in the Northeast has taken a big step forward.
The township supervisors during a Monday night virtual meeting unanimously approved the master plan for NorthPoint Development s $1.5 billion redevelopment of 1,846 acres of the U.S. Steel property.
NorthPoint plans to construct 20 or more state-of-the-art industrial warehouse buildings totaling 10 million square feet, with the potential for 15 million square feet. Possible tenants include GM, Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, UPS. FedEx and more.
Township solicitor Mike Clarke explained that the master plan will guide development of the site over the next decade. Each phase must also go through its own individual approval process, he added.
