A new emergency response system to help police, fire and other first responders to communicate during mass casualty events is under developed in Broward County. CERA Software Inc., which is headed by a retired Hallandale Beach police officer, is creating the system at the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation that would help law enforcement more quickly contain a mass casualty event, apprehend the perpetrators and rescue victims.
