A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ogba, Lagos State, has sentenced one Oluwakemi Raji, a traveller from India, to 14 days community service for flouting the Coronavirus Pandemic Law of Lagos State.
The defendant was arraigned by the Directorate of Public Prosecutions on behalf of the State Government and pleaded guilty to a two-count of breaking out of confinement and constituting nuisance to the public, contrary to Section 17 of the Coronavirus Pandemic Law, 2021 and Section 6 of the Public Health Law of Lagos State, 2015.
