Elon Musk has shared a letter he received from his would-be Stanford Professor Bill Nix. In the letter, Professor Nix discusses the amorphization of crystalline silicon when used as the anode material in lithium-ion batteries and how Musk would be working on this problem if he continued at Stanford.
