Acosta made the warning after discovering this week two fake accounts made under her name in the social media application Facebook.
The PAO chief pointed out that creating bogus accounts of real persons is “an offense under Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10175).”
Acosta said the two fake Facebook accounts she discovered using her name and photos are https://www.facebook.com/persida.acosta.1 and https://www.facebook.com/attypersida.ruedaacosta.
Aside from the two, Acosta said she already found numerous fake accounts using her name and photos.
