FG promotes participation of private sector in national assets management

Share The Federal Government on Tuesday said it was keen on promoting private participation in the management of some national assets to unlock their immense potential value. Speaking at an investors forum, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Chief Niyi Adebayo who spoke  for the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, International Trade Fair Complex (LITFC), Calabar and Kano Free Trade Zones, said this informed the Federal Government decision to carry out general reforms by way of concession for both the TBS and LITFC. He said the government has established a significant number of incentives to encourage investors and was working aggressively to create an enabling environment for business to thrive.

Minister: Investment in sugar industry will provide jobs for youths

TODAY January 30, 2021 Minister of Industry, Trade Investment, Chief Niyi Adebayo, has reiterated commitment of the federal government to partner with private and public investors in the sugar industry to accelerate the nation’s economic growth. Speaking at the official commissioning of the multi-billion Naira Nigeria Sugar Institute located in Jimba-Oja town in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Thursday, Chief Adebayo said the investment already made by the federal government and the private sector in the sugar industry was capable of creating thousands of jobs in the agriculture and manufacturing sectors. He said, “The government therefore recognises the need to deepen the partnership with the private sector to drive access to skills development, research and development in a manner that promotes competition, productivity, profitability and sustainability in the sugar industry.”
