Punjab CM Usman Buzdar announces 25% special allowance for grade 1-19 govt employees.
Says the allowance will be added to the salaries of employees from June.
Those employees who already get special allowances will not be eligible.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday announced a 25% special allowance for grade 1 to 19 government employees who previously did not receive any allowances in addition to their salaries.
Taking to Twitter, the CM wrote that the decision will come into force starting June 2021. The decision has been taken in order to reduce the pay gap among government employees working in different departments and improve their economic condition, wrote Buzdar.

Estranged PTI leader Jahangir Tareen on Thursday claimed having the support of 40 lawmakers and said that his group will meet only Prime Minister Imran Khan, and not any committee.
“When I stood with Imran Khan, PML-N investigated my businesses and sent me notices,” Tareen said at a press conference outside the sessions court in Lahore. “But what they [PTI government] did with me was not even done by the PML-N,” he lamented, adding that a civil case has been turned into a criminal one.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said utmost respect and honour for the Last of the Holy Prophets Muhammad (PBUH) is an indispensable part of every Muslim’s faith.
In a statement, the CM said the heart of every Muslim was filled with immaculate love for the holy prophet (PBUH) adding that Allah Almighty made the prophet a true benefactor for all the worlds.
The blissful way of life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) defines the Holy Quran, in which complete guidance is available for all the human beings of the world, he added.
CM vows to protect officials from threats

Punjab government stands behind its honest and hardworking officers and would not tolerate any threat to them, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Saturday.
Reacting over opposition leaders’ remarks against government officers, he said threatening the government officers was an illegal act, which would not be tolerated. The government will not sit quietly if someone threatens the officers and such elements will be dealt with iron hands besides legal action.
Buzdar alleged the opposition leaders, upon the exposure of their corruption, were leveling false allegations against government officers. He maintained the opposition’s statement about government officials was highly regrettable and condemnable.
