Easton’s new choice for fire chief brings nearly 40 years of firefighting experience to the job, as well as an eye toward moving the department forward.
Henry Hennings has been acting fire chief since last July, when he took on the role to succeed former Chief Mike Krill upon Krill’s retirement. Mayor Sal Panto Jr. and city Administrator Luis Campos announced Hennings’ appointment Tuesday, subject to city council confirmation Jan. 27.
“I am looking forward to working with the administration and the firefighters’ union to better the department,” Hennings said in a news release on his promotion.
