Santa Barbara County Fire Department Looking to Make Bid on Ambulance Services Contract
After favorable evaluation of pros and cons, fire officials leaning toward submitting competing bid against longtime contractor American Medical Response

With Santa Barbara County’s ambulance services contract set to expire at the end of 2022, the county Fire Department is looking into placing a competitive bid to take over the services entirely or by partnering with a private provider.

And just like that, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s stay-at-home order magically disappeared, seven weeks after it was decreed.
