Shamar Alfred is facing the serious criminal charge after he allegedly stabbed his Royalton Resort co-worker, several times. Alfred was a room attendant at the hotel in Five Islands, while the complainant was a chef. The two men reportedly had an antagonistic relationship because of a difference in opinions which often led to arguments. On January 1 2020, the complainant was said to be preparing food for guests in the kitchen and was arguing about having to work overtime since he had not been relieved by another chef.

The now 19-year-old convict was charged with failing to provide care and protection to a child in October 2020. An investigation was launched after a disturbing video of her two-year-old daughter coughing from smoking what appeared to be a spliff, while in the presence of an adult, surfaced. As a result, the defendant was arrested and the video was extracted from her phone. In the video, the toddler is seen holding a lit joint in her hands and coughing from smoking what appeared to be marijuana.

The three former cabinet ministers are accused of corruption, conversion and embezzlement in relation to three Daewoo buses worth over $600,000 that had been donated to the former UPP administration by the Government of Korea. The trio had been accused of converting the buses for their personal use and had them registered at the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board in their names, while they were in public office.

The 26-year-old multi-murder-accused allegedly wounded prison officer Dwight Peters on October 7 2020 when he tried to restrain him.  Forbes previously pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful wounding before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh. Now on trial the alleged victim was the first to give sworn evidence. Peters told the court that on the morning of October 7 the accused was behaving poorly and was therefore asked to conduct himself appropriately.
