Described by police as a person of interest in the Highland Park mass shooting, Robert “Bobby” Crimo III was described as a longtime resident of the suburb who posted online videos under the moniker “The Awake Rapper.”
On July 4, a gunman shot and killed six people and wounded 24 more during an independence day parade in the affluent Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois.
Crimo, 22, was arrested on Monday at 6.30pm after an eight-hour manhunt. He is now in custody awaiting his first court appearance but he has not yet been charged.
