Former Sebastopol Mayor Robert Jacob has been charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor related to sexual assault on a minor, according to Sebastopol Police Chief Kevin Kilgore. The alleged assaults, which include at least one underage victim, are believed to have occurred between Dec. 2019 and March 2021, according to a statement released by Kilgore. Sebastopol police learned of the alleged sexual assaults on March 30 and launched an investigation., which culminated with Jacob’s arrest Saturday, April 10.
The story was originally reported by The Press Democrat;however, The Community Voice has obtained information regarding Jacob’s online sexual behavior, which could potentially implicate other victims and perpetrators.
