The Islamabad High Court has called off all hearings until April 11, a notification issued by the Registrar s Office on Friday stated.
The decision was taken after coronavirus infections in the capital city increased. The notification was passed on orders of Chief Justice Athar Minallah.
Only important cases will be heard during this time. These cases will be decided by the chief justice, the instructions added.

The Islamabad Bar Council (IBC), the High Court Bar and the District Bar have strongly condemned the February 8 attack on the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday.
They also condemned lawyers who resorted to violence and desecrated the chamber of Chief Justice Athar Minallah.
Disagreeing with the reference filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against Justice Minallah, IBC Vice-Chairman Zulfiqar Ali Abbasi said that references against all judges, including Justice Qazi Faiz Issa and Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, should be dismissed.

The Islamabad High Court has told the PML-N to approach the National Assembly speaker to issue the production orders for MNA Khawaja Asif.
The PML-N MNA was arrested by NAB on December 29, 2020. He has been accused of owning more assets than known sources of income could account for.
The petitioner was filed by Rana Tanveer Hussain, the chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee. He said that Asif s production orders should be issued so that he can be a part of the PAC meetings.

The Islamabad High Court has ruled that it will hear the disqualification petitions against all MNAs and MPAs together and give a combined ruling on it.
The combined cases will be heard on March 9. The cases will be wrapped up together so that the court can listen to other petitioners, the court remarked.
The court made the remarks while hearing the disqualification case against Federal Science Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Monday.
