The national government targets to inoculate 70 percent of the country’s population in 2021 to reach herd immunity.
“San Juan is the first local government unit in the Philippines to administer first-dose vaccine to its 70 percent of its target population. However, the numbers are still conservative, because there are still minors who can’t be vaccinated yet,” Dizon said in Filipino.
“Even if they would say that San Juan is a small city, but to vaccinate 96,610 of the San Juan constituents in only four months is no joke. Even though our supply is limited, this is a huge achievement,” he added.
