WINCHESTER A Manchester house sustained heavy damage in a fire Tuesday.
Winchester and Roodhouse firefighters were called about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday to 202 Main St. because of smoke in the home’s attic. Firefighters found a fire in the ceiling of the kitchen area, Winchester fire Chief Fred Andrews said.
The residents were able to evacuate without injury.
The fire is believed to have been electrical in nature.
It was the second house fire this week for the Winchester department. Firefighters were called about 1:22 p.m. Sunday to a house at 235 Exchange St. in Glasgow. The house was a total loss, Andrews said.
