PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Monday directed the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) officials to take steps to give relief to power consumers.
According to an official handout, he was chairing a meeting to discuss the issue of power loadshedding and low voltage in certain areas of the province.
The meeting discussed steps to resolve the issues of low voltage and loadshedding of electricity. Pesco Chief Engineer Muhammad Jabbar Khan and other officials attended the meeting. The meeting was briefed about the progress made on the ongoing projects to improve power infrastructure across the province.
Speaking at the meeting, the chief minister said that three new grid stations had been completed in the provincial capital and these would soon become functional. He said all matters of Pesco related to the provincial government would be settled on a priority basis. He added the matters related to the federal government would be taken up with Prime Ministe
