the intent of the s.c.o.r.p.i.o.n. unit has now been corrupted. reporter: s.c.o.r.p.i.o.n. unit standing for s.c.o.r.p.i.o.n. is a specializele unit. chief dash told our don lemon they needed a unit to address a surge of crimes in memphis. this is one of three teams whose primary responsibility is to reduce gun violence, to be vizzible visible in communities and alps impact the rise in crime. basically out of an outcry of the community, we had 3,200 homicides. last year was the first year in a long time when we had reductions. reporter: the maw yore s office also touted
