As the city of Mountain View prepares to increase the number of spots at the Shoreline safe parking lot by more than 50%, program participants still need a place to park their commuter vehicles.
The statewide rainstorm continued to wreak havoc over the weekend, with reports of downed trees, sparking power lines and trail closures in Mountain View. Los Altos city staff told residents to avoid local creeks and streams.
Residents on Yorkton Drive say these lengthy outages were, in the past, a roughly once-a-year occurrence. But during the pandemic, it started happening more and more frequently, and PG&E has been slow to fix the problem.
When Mountain View began enforcing its RV rules at the beginning of October, “RVs started to appear on the street, and there were questions,” said one Ortega Avenue homeowner. Residents say they still haven’t gotten answers.
