The annual Columbia Greek Festival will be replaced by Greek to Go, a drive-thru Greek food event this year. The Greek Festival, usually hosted at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral each fall will look a little different this year, being replaced by a takeout event happening on Saturday, May 22.  The drive-thru event will feature Greek meals and pastries available to purchase from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 1900 Main Street in the parking lot of the cathedral.

Yo’ Mama’s of Birmingham to be featured on Netflix’s new show ‘Fresh, Fried & Crispy’ Updated 2:57 PM; Facebook Share An Alabama restaurant staple will get even more national attention thanks to Netflix’s new travel and food show “Fresh, Fried and Crispy.” You might have guessed Birmingham favorite Yo’ Mama’s Restaurant fits the bill for what it sounds like that show is looking for, when it begins streaming June 9. The restaurant announced via Instagram and Facebook that they’d be featured soon, with a pic with host Daym Drops. “Catch Mama on @netflix June 9 on Fresh, Fried & Crispy with @officialdaymdrops !! #YoMamasBHAM #GFGoodness,” the caption said.
