A spokesman confirmed the group is consulting staff over the proposed redundancies which will effect Maths and English lecturers at the Chichester and Brinsbury sites.
Chichester College UCU has raised serious concerns about the plans and has recieved support from a number of local councillors.

A Chichester College spokesperson said: Chichester College Group (CCG) can confirm that it is currently undertaking a consultation with staff who teach Maths and English. As with any staff consultation, this is a meaningful two way process where we engage with employees and their representatives to explain planned changes and get their feedback and input on proposals.

The A-level students at Haywards Heath College have been busy recycling crisp packets by fusing them together and making a range of survival blankets for homeless people.
The project came about during their research into using recycled plastics and materials, exploring the theme of ‘waste’ for their studies.
Collectively, the students have been bringing in bags full of crisp packets collected from friends and family. They are working as a team to wash the packets and prepare them, before starting work on creating the blankets at a time when the homeless community need them most.
Brinsbury College principal awarded MBE
Brinsbury College principal Sally Challis-Manning has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year honours for services to further education.

Sally, who lives in Horsham, is also group deputy principal responsible for quality across the Chichester College Group.
She has worked for Chichester College - now the Chichester College Group - for more than 33 years, becoming an expert in improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment at colleges across the country.
Sally said: “I was so surprised to hear the news but I am thrilled and honoured to be receiving an MBE.
