Subscriber only A Queensland teenager charged for a twerking frenzy at a McDonald s restaurant during a drunken bender bragged about her antics on Facebook. Layla Cheyne North s troublemaking at the fast food joint in Dalby last year landed her with a court date for public nuisance but less than 24 hours later she was in hot water again. Layla Cheyne North has dodged a conviction. A day later, the 18-year-old was arrested for another disturbance outside a pub and turned on the officers while in custody. Even while awaiting her next court date, North bragged on social media when news of her antics were first published.
Police alleged North wouldn t stop twerking, doing handstands and stumbling around the establishment. North then allegedly jumped onto the food counter and continued to twerk as police officers entered and tried to lock herself in the public bathroom, before she was arrested. The court heard the following day North was also charged with being a public nuisance outside the Criterion Hotel Dalby, where she later allegedly assaulted and obstructed police and damaged a watch-house cell. North did not attend Dalby Magistrates Court on December 15 as scheduled, and instead sent a letter instructing she would plead guilty to all seven charges.

A teenager allegedly climbed a McDonald s restaurant counter and twerked as cops tried to arrest her before locking herself in a public bathroom.
Layla Cheyne North, 18, from Dalby in south west Queensland, is also accused of assaulting police the following day outside one of the town s local pubs.
Ms North s alleged disruption of the fast food restaurant began about 12:30am on November 20 when she repeatedly began twerking and doing handstands, a court heard on Tuesday.

Subscriber only A teenager who allegedly twerked her way into trouble with the law at a Queensland McDonald s is also accused of assaulting police just a day after the fast food escapade, a court has heard. Layla Cheyne North did not attend Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday for her first mention, after police charged her in November. Ms North, 18, is alleged to have committed a public nuisance at the Dalby McDonald s about 12.30am on November 20. Court documents allege she was repeatedly twerking, performing handstands and stumbling around the restaurant and attempting to grab a mop. Layla Cheyne North did not attend Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday when her matter was mentioned but the court was told she intended to plead guilty to the charges.
