WEATHERSFIELD A child was found wandering the parking lot of a store on Tuesday.
A witness called police about 8:30 a.m. after he pulled into the parking lot of Dollar General, 3840 state Route 46, and saw the child walking in nothing but a diaper and carrying a blanket, according to a police report.
The caller brought the child inside until police arrived. When police asked the child questions about where he lived or any other information, he could only provide his name.
Lane Ambulance was called to the store to check on the child, and he was eventually taken to Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman. Trumbull County Children Services also was called, the report states.
