Over at the white house the flag will be lowered and has been lowered and at other sites around the country. This is a day that people say an age of innocence ended. It was the end of a period known as camelot in this country. We can all think of where we were. At least those of us that were alive at that time. Yeah, i remember 3rd grade. Questionable relevance. In fact what his stations create, it is that it give journalism. Video storytelling that can exist on a television station, and ipad, iphone, or any smartphone. The question to me is, what is the future of the journal is a mage . All the all of the students here, telling stories with pictures projected into all kinds of screens. All of the content creators and all of the students who are here tonight who are gg into television journalism, you will really go into a progression that into a profession that is video journalism, telling stories and pictures that will be projected into all kinds of screens. Some of them will be television screens. Many of them will be little devices, the Little Television devices in your laps that one can watch on a watch application, on an or tablet or iphone. So i think the future is very bright and very robust. There is clear evidence that more and more people are consuming more and more video journalism, not just on television, bu

A lot of people from talk radio moved to cable news outlets on television. In most cases sean Hannity Glenn beck one interesting thing about sean hannity he is one of the only guys who has made presence in tv and radio on a longterm basis. Glenn beck, he was in cable news for while and hes on Cable Network now but internet wise but he didnt last that long on fox news or hln for that matter. Rush limbaugh had a three or four years stand on tv but in both cases those two guys were pretty much with ready on that is where they get the ratings from. We are with fred lucas author of the the right frequency. Thanks very much. We have been talking about the stream that he had. He had talked about it for years, the American Dream that had become his dream and he had been in detroit just a few months before. Just as the opening games at the summer olympics were very british, as you can see tonight these games are getting off to a very russian theme start. The game today feels very spirited. But for a time today as well talk about it in a moment there was a scare that reminded us all of the high security stakes. First, however, the command that has gone out to let these games begin. Nbcs Kevin Tibbles has more. Reporter brian, before, sochi was just a sleepy little tourist town on the banks of the black sea. Well, tonight, sochi welcomed the world with a festival of sound and color, and oh yes, sir, a little controversy mixed in. The big show has come to sochi.
