Mildenhall Library is set to close next month as it is moving to the new Mildenhall Hub

Mildenhall Library will be closing next month as staff prepare for its move to the new Mildenhall Hub building.
The library will be closing its doors in Chestnut Close, on Friday, May 7 at 3pm and will reopen in the new building on Sheldrick Way on Monday, May 24.
The new hub will bring together a new school, leisure facilities, a health centre, a children s centre, and will also house desk space for Suffolk police, West Suffolk Council, Suffolk County Council and the NHS, including Public Health England.
24-year-old remanded in custody after he admitted robbing filling station shop Jamie Quilligan from Chestnut Close, Nutley Avenue in Mahon pleaded guilty today at Cork Circuit Criminal Court to robbery of €705 at the Circle K Garage on Blackrock Road on November 17th last
The court heard that Mr Quilligan went into the filling station shop with a mask on his face and armed with a machete which he slammed down on to the counter as he demanded cash.
The staff member handed over the till tray but the 24-year-old s mask slipped and staff were able to give gardai a description and he was caught a short distance away after changing his clothing.
