Lizzie Bruce, 69, had worked for Bridge Community Farms since it was established six years ago. She ran the charity s weekly market stall in Chester and helped to deliver their popular vegetable boxes across Cheshire and Wirral. Lizzie, who lived in Rossett, also organised their annual sponsored walk with the Chester Business Club every September. She died suddenly but peacefully in hospital last month, and is survived by her husband Nigel, daughter Pippa and two grandsons, Freddie and Jack. Bridge Community Farms will be honouring Lizzie’s memory with an oak bench and memorial plaque in their orchard. Founder Francis Ball said: “I ve known Lizzie and her husband Nigel for over 30 years and they are both two of the most convivial and generous people you could possibly meet.
