Jimmie “H” Whitley, 71, died Dec. 2, 2020 at his home in Herald. He was born Feb. 3, 1949 in Duncan, Okla. Jimmie lived in Sacramento County since 1959 and in Herald since 1979. He served with the U.S. Marines from 1967-1968. He worked as a machinist, welder and fabricator. He was known for his custom paintwork and fabrication abilities. He was part owner of Whitley’s Customs. Surviving him are his wife Cheryl Whitley of Herald, sons Rusty and Jacob of Herald; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Viewing will be held on Monday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Ben Salas Funeral Home on Fourth Street, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Galt Cemetery on Joy Drive.
