The Methodist community is mourning the passing of longstanding minister Reverend Colton Bennett who died on Monday at the age of 93.Bennett, who pastored in all three circuits of the Methodist fraternity – Bethel, Ebenezer, James Street, and Speightstown – for more than four decades, also served his country as a nurse, counsellor, and marriage officer.In tribute, Bishop of the South Caribbean District Reverend Derick Richards said Bennett’s passing will leave a void in the countless lives that he touched.“Reverend Bennett will be remembered for his wise counsel and advice, his pastoral care and tireless visits to the hospital to the sick, as a counsellor to persons from all walks of life, as a devoted family man, and as a Christian gentleman and committed pastor.
