From last thursday on the 1800 block of east atlantic avenue. Plain clothed officers spotted the vehicle from that homicide and pulled it over. The suspect ran down one of the officers as they approached. That led to a chase, when the suspects hyundai crashed into parked cars. We have an officer in the hospital in stable condition. The suspect in Critical Condition at an area hospital and investigators are trying to piece everything together. We have the suspect vehicle on location having crashed into two parked cars. We have not searched the vehicle yet. When the suspect got out of the crashed car, he had his hands in his pocket and refused to follow the officers command leading the officers to open fire. CHEYENNE, Wyo. A 62-year old man connected to the killing of a Colorado woman nearly 40 years ago through DNA evidence was arrested earlier this month in Nebraska, according to a Facebook post from Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
David Dwayne Anderson, 62, was arrested on Feb. 10 for the killing of Sylvia Quayle, 35, in her home in Cherry Hills Village in August 1981, police in the Denver suburb said.
According to authorities, Anderson was arrested near Cozad, though his most recent known address was in North Platte.
“Terrible, terrible pain. Terrible, terrible grief. I cannot let go of it, I can’t make it diminish. Every passing year that the anniversary comes and goes, that hole is open wide and salt is poured in,” he wrote. “Every year the sadness makes its presence known. Every year a reminder I was robbed, my children robbed, my siblings and their children robbed. . All the rage I cannot express, all the hate I cannot let go. When does it end, when will there be peace, when will the culprit be revealed and justice served?”
