New Bern’s newest entertainment venue opens on Thursday and promises to bring some exciting events to the area.
Flo’s Extravaganza Bar and Lounge will be open Thursday through Sunday and seeks to provide an upscale atmosphere for trendy adults. The lounge will open at 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. It is located at 2704 Neuse Blvd. in New Bern.
Patrons must be age 30 and up.
The club’s owners, Kenneth and Florence Jones of New Bern, are dedicated to providing a venue for patrons to enjoy and relax in a mature and safe environment.

D’Aja Fulmore, a local film producer whose first episode of her series, “Crossover” drew the attention of Hollywood streaming companies, has finished her second episode which can be viewed on Youtube on February 1st.
Fulmore had written and filmed her first 20-minute episode late in 2020, filming around New Bern but drawing professional actors to take the roles. The urban drama follows the life of Lena, a young black woman, who is dealing the conflicts and struggles of her life.
In the second episode, she said, “we dig more into the past of these characters, and we start to see some of their motivation. We start getting into the ‘why’ and what everybody’s out for.”
