A mother is facing charges in connection to her child s stabbing.
CANTON, Ga. - Authorities have arrested a woman in connection to a stabbing that resulted in the death of her toddler earlier this month in Canton.
Chloe Driver, 20, is facing several charges for the murder of her 13-month-old daughter, Hannah, Canton police said. What could put a mother in that place? I have no idea, Canton Police Officer Pacer Cordry said.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 at a home in the 200 block of Mountain Vista Boulevard in the Mountain View subdivision.
Canton officers were called to the home and found the injured people in a bedroom with stab wounds. The child was transported to Northside Hospital Cherokee, where she died from her injuries.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. A Georgia man was arrested after he dragged a deputy “approximately 30 feet” while fleeing a traffic stop, authorities say.
Elmer Pence, a 43-year-old from Acworth, is now facing charges including aggravated assault on a police officer and reckless driving, according to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said in a statement that Pence was pulled over Saturday afternoon in Canton and “at some point during the traffic stop the deputy requested the driver exit the vehicle and the driver grabbed the deputy’s arm and started driving away.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. - A Georgia man is in custody after officials say he tried to drag a deputy behind his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Officials say the Cherokee County deputy conducted the stop Saturday at around 2:30 p.m. on Medical Lane and Hospital Road in Canton.
After the deputy requested the driver, identified as 43-year-old Acworth resident Elmer Pence, to step out of the car, officials say Pence grabbed the deputy s arm and started to drive off.
The deputy was dragged for around 30 feet before he was able to get away. They were not injured thankfully.
