The world has lost one of its brightest lights with the indescribably woeful passing of Rabbi Mordechai Rindenow.
The year was 1978 when Rabbi Rindenow, with his wife and two young children, aged 18 months and 4 weeks, drove across the country in answer to the call to teach at the Lisa Kampner Hebrew Academy in San Francisco. And there he stayed for years, forming loving friendships with his students. It was a matter of course that Rabbi Rindenow would be found at many of the most important life passages of his once-upon-a-time students now grown to adulthood.

Three renowned rabbis who passed away over the weekend were laid to rest in Israel and mourned as giants of their generation.

Three leading rabbis who were regarded as among the greatest scholars of their generation passed away in Israel over the weekend after battling the coronavirus.
Rabbi Meshulam Dovid Soloveitchik, who headed the Brisk Yeshiva ,passed away Sunday at the age of 99. He was one of the outstanding Torah scholars from the Soloveitchik rabbinical dynasty, which originated in the city of Brisk in Poland in the early 1800s.
His father Yitzchok Zev Soloveitchik fled the Nazis and brought his family to Israel, settling in Jerusalem and becoming a leader of the ultra-Orthodox community. Rabbi Meshulam Dovid Soloveitchik presided over the Brisk Yeshiva in Jerusalem since opening it in the 1970s.

(JTA) Rabbi Dr. Abraham J. Twerski, the scion of multiple Hasidic dynasties, author of more than 60 books, and a physician who became a leading authority on drug treatment and addiction, has died.
Twerski was 90 and had been battling COVID-19 in Israel, according to Yeshiva World News.
Born in Milwaukee into a family of incomparably distinguished rabbinic stock, Twerski was descended on his father’s side from Rabbi Menachem Nachum Twersky, the founder of the Chernobyl Hasidic dynasty also known the Me’or Einayim, a work of Torah commentary he authored. His mother was the daughter of the Bobover Hasidic rebbe.
