A troubled past

One of the joys of the six years I spent on the Arkansas Humanities Council was getting to know top-notch scholars. Two of the best with whom I served were Cherisse Jones-Branch, a history professor at Arkansas State University, and Ken Barnes, who recently retired as a history professor at the University of Central Arkansas.

(April 5, 2021) – The Windgate Museum of Art at Hendrix College in Conway announces the opening of its spring student exhibitions. The senior art student exhibition (Virtually) Unstoppable, and a senior curatorial exhibition No Man’s Land: A Feminist Reimagining are available for viewing April 16, 2021 – May 14, 2021. The Intermediate Mixed Media 3D class sculpture exhibition Shaping Up! is available for viewing April 8, 2021 – May 19, 2021. Open hours are 12 noon – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
