Two Kentucky middle school teachers were reassigned after their profanity and racial slur-riddled lecture to a classroom of students on their behavior went viral.

NEW ULM Carl Michael Sowers, age 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home in New Ulm.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.
All guests in attendance are required to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.

Carl is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Carrie Sowers of New Ulm; children and grandchildren; David (Nicole) Sowers of New Ulm, their children Paige, Emily, Abigail, and Nolan; Bethany Hutchens of New Ulm, her children William, Hunter, Casey, Brett, and Ava; Daniel (Marja) Sowers of New Ulm, their children Hazel and Grace; Valerie (Wade) Haas of Mead, Nebraska; Cheri Allen of Inver Grove Heights; his brothers, Richard Sowers and Tom Kissner; sister-in-law, Lauraine Sowers of Sleepy Eye; and extended family.
