Chennai: In Tamil Nadu s Chennai, amid a rise in fuel prices, people depending on tanker water may have to pay more as the rates may go up by 30 per cent this summer.
Although there is enough water in the reservoirs and piped supply has also increased due to Metrowater, the rates for tanker water may see an upsurge.
As per the report in the
Times of India, the Tamil Nadu Private Water Tanker Lorry Association said that the rates will go up by 30%.
