isn t just going to devastate wyoming. it requires leadership. it requires mobilizing people to stand up against this onslaught of our constitutional rights, our liberties and our vams. frankly over the last five years things have gotten worse for the people of wyoming, not better. mike, we ll talk about liz s public fight with her sister in just a moment. what s happening now in the state of wyoming for liz cheney? is she making up ground on mike enzi? well, there was one poll that came out from a superpac that was behind mike enzi that showed a huge lead, like 50 points for the incumbent. cheney s campaign in a sign of atone of what s going on out there put out a poll pointing out that that was also the same company that put out a statement saying that was also the company that showed ted cruz behind by 50 points in his race. nobody knows where the state is. it s a small population. that s what we ve been saying here on morning joe. that liz cheney could win. she ll probably ha
the rollout. so this is serious times. they better have their a team on this fixing this right now. i have to ask you another story, another political story the cheney family. there are disputes in every family t. fact that this has become a public dispute 2009 liz cheney running for a senate seat and her sister over same-sex marriage, it is astonishing. what happened yesterday, liz cheney is running to the right yesterday on a sunday news program, she basically zansd herself from her sister s marriage in a same-sex marriage for a long time. that provoked a really unpress dintd outburst seeming personal on the part of pare cheney, are you on the wrong side of history, not to the issue and saying she is not supporting her sister s candidacy. it is an extraordinary moment. it is how raw it is in the midst of the civil rights moment. could this backfire since this has become a public family

think there s any doubt the cheneys are connected to wyoming. the parents have always had a house there. she s fourth generation on one side, third generation on the other. she worked in government and lived in mclane, virginia but the carpet bagger label is a little hard to make stick. again, this whole thing is inexplicable except the significance of it is the feud that is going on inside the cheney family is the same feud over social issues going on in the larger republican family right now. wyoming in particular, western conservatism has a socially conservative strain but also has a libertarian strain. so again, this is a question of whether she is endearing more voters in wyoming or turning them off. but when her own authenticity is being questioned with the carpet bagger thing, i think that s where she s done herself some damage.
