Del Co Police & Emergency Services To Receive Special Training

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office has announced that they received grant funding through a partnership with the Chenango Health Network to train staff on providing mental health first aid. The grant from the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration will train emergency services personnel, law enforcement, fire department personnel, veterans, and others to identify persons with a mental disorder and employ crisis de-escalation techniques.
