The first Global Biobased Economy Conference is being hosted by the Alternative Fuels & Chemicals Coalition (AFCC) in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBCS) and Live Oak Bank.
The conference will focus on promoting the USDA’s BioPreferred® Program through a two-day conference and exhibition, with a reception Sunday evening, November 14, 2021. The program has been moved to a new home in USDA’s Rural Business-Cooperative Service, with new management and funding.
The conference will include featured speakers with plenary and break-out sessions on the global biobased economy, the USDA’s BioPreferred® Program, biobased product manufacturing and certification, and the USDA’s Section 9003 Biorefinery, Renewable Chemicals, and Biobased Products Manufacturing Assistance Program, which stimulates innovation by providing loan guarantees that allow companies to commercialize first-of-a-kind technologies to produc
