“Belarus is an unconditional priority for us in international cooperation. We mutually strive to develop our trade, economic and humanitarian ties and get positive results. Even in the conditions of enormous sanctions pressure, mutual trade remains high and keeps growing,” Aleksey Teksler said.
“Belarus and Chelyabinsk Oblast are long-standing and reliable partners. The mutual trade between our regions show good dynamics. This year we aim to maintain the set pace by increasing mutual supplies and intensifying industrial cooperation,” Belarusian Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Aleksei Bogdanov said at the forum.
“The first aspect of our cooperation is what we have already done and succeeded in. The second aspect is what we have not yet been able to do, what needs to be finalized in planning our joint activities. We have a very extensive program of industrial cooperation, balanced external supplies,” Roman Golovchenko said.
After a delegation of Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast visited Belarus in November 2022, Automobile Plant Ural was able to satisfy its demand for components of Belarusian make. Since the company is busy racking up its output, it needs more components. Moreover, in H1 2023 the company was the main importer of goods from Belarus to Southern Ural.
A lot of attention in Belarus and Russia is also focused on the issues of emergency preparedness and response to radiation accidents. The parties are considering the implementation of a program of joint activities.
