A former Fort Hood soldier was sentenced Wednesday to 40 years in prison for strangling a woman to death in a Killeen, Texas, motel more than two years ago.
Military Specialist Maxwell Hockin, 26, (left) was identified Wednesday as the solder whose body was found at Ford Hood base (right) during the weekend. The cause of his death was not released.
Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer Bocanegra confirmed that the soldier, who has not been identified, was found unresponsive behind his company barracks on Saturday.
