Cowgirls clinch Southland Tournament spot despite blown lead at Nicholls 2018-19 McNeese Womenâs Basketball Schedule By McNeese Sports Information | March 3, 2021 at 11:21 PM CST - Updated March 3 at 11:22 PM
THIBODAUX- Despite a 71-68 road loss at Nicholls (10-13, 9-7 SLC) Wednesday night, McNeese womenâs basketball clinched a spot in next weekâs Southland Conference Tournament.

We couldnât ask for a better effort from the group. We did everything possible to win but credit Nichollsâ Anna McKendree for hitting some very tough and big shots. We made a few mistakes after those shots at the end that allowed Nicholls to steal this one from us.
